Biography

Hello! I am Alexia Stanbridge! I am studying at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at ASU. I am studying to become a Broadcast News Reporter and Anchor. I grew up in a small town called Mountain Green, Utah where I was surrounded by family and close friends.

When I was young, I always enjoyed speaking in church and at school. I would even enroll myself in storytelling competitions. In middle school, I started becoming intrigued by the news. My parents always pushed me to work hard in my academics and be informed. By the time I was 12 years old, I already had an idea that being a Broadcast News Reporter was what I wanted to become, but by the time I was 14 years old... I knew.

In high school, I started preparing myself the best I could for my newly found dream school, ASU's Walter Cronkite School. This meant joining the speech and debate team, becoming a student body officer, and much more!

All throughout my journey, many would tell me over and over again how it was a nice dream but I would change my mind and how it was too hard or competitive for me. Although, I knew and I still know what I want and I will continuously work my hardest to get to where I want to be!

My family has always been so supportive in helping me get to where I am today. I hope to continue my education and plan on becoming a hard news and politics reporter. I am extremely driven, hard-working, great at communicating, and always ready to learn. I graduated in May 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and will graduate in May 2023 with a master's degree in Mass Communication.
